According to this collection[1] of sex-related records and, um, facts, the longest copulation between animals was been registered at 23 hours 15 minutes (rattlesnakes Crotalus L.), while the longest sex act between humans was registered by a doctor Vernon Coleman, which lasted for 15 hours and was set by movie star Mae West and her lover, known only as Ted.

However, if it doesn’t have to be by a couple, then pornstar Lisa Sparxxx had sex with 919 guys in 24 hours[2] , specifically to set a record.

What is the longest duration of sex? I’m not sure exactly how you are defining sex, the longest orgasm I’ve personally seen is three hours. Its a woman who is having the orgasm and a team of people who manually stimulate her - with fingers. I’ve seen five or six different women do this.

This is part of a training program as preparation for doing a public demonstration of a one hour orgasm.

I’ve heard stories of far longer orgasms, but the longest I’ve personally seen is three hours.
